Dance for Wellness Grant

The Rotary Club grant supports Ballet for the World Initiative (BFTWI) in achieving high artistic performance goals with the children and youth at Hope Place. The grant obtained by the club supplied the following: Vita Barres, Harlequin Floors, and Dance apparel for 18 students, such as leotards, tights, ballet shoes, and yoga mats.

THE INITIATIVE’S NEEDS

Besides the grant support, specific materials and financial support are needed to develop ballet classes at Hope Place, such as yoga mats, leotards, tights, ballet shoes, tutus, and costumes. As well as cleaning supplies. We are also working on obtaining scholarships for children and youth who leave Hope Place and plan to continue in the program or those who want to transition to a formal fine arts school.

We seek individuals or businesses willing to support the initiative financially and become agents of change in Volusia County. Donors must make monthly donations to support the needs of the program. One-time donations are also accepted.
