Our Vision
Ballet for the World Initiative
Art is a transformative, transcendental, and inspirational tool for expression and communication, which can positively impact the person who sees and creates it. Spaces for artistic creativity are paramount to developing thoughtful and responsible people committed to collective change. Adults and children should have an inherent right to develop motor and intellectual abilities with artistic skills. However, the Fine Arts have always been considered elitist due to their low access and high cost. We aim to change that narrative and provide underserved people with a Fine Arts education. Ballet for the World Initiative is committed to bringing a new concept to Ballet and the Fine Arts, which should be created in the community for the community.
The main objective is to offer a space for children and youth to appreciate the arts as an after-school extracurricular activity during the fall and spring. When children and youth must leave Hope Place to find a permanent home, they will continue to be welcome to attend the classes free of charge. We will also invite children and youth from the surrounding areas to join the Ballet classes and develop a consistent group of students who can perform for the public.
